In Memory of the 200th Anniversary of Marx's Birth
The Sublation of Marx's Alienated Labor and the All-round Development of Human Freedom
PANG Ming-bo
2018, 17(4): 1-4. doi:10.13931/j.cnki.bjfuss.2018082
Abstract:
In the Manuscript of Economics and Philosophy in 1844, Marx systematically analyzed the specific manifestations of alienation in the production mode of capitalist society based on the development status of capitalist society. In the work, he revealed the critical reason why the workers are getting poorer with the development of social productive forces and the accumulation of social wealth. At present, there do exist some real contradictions in our country such as the widening gap between the rich and the poor, the unreasonable distribution of social income, and corruption. How to grasp the key points and the core essentials will inevitably use Marx' s theory of alienated labor for analysis. Alienation exists not only in capitalist society; in fact, as long as there is private ownership, there will be fertile ground for the growth of alienation. To build a harmonious socialist society, the problem of alienation is a key constraint, not only in the production process, but also in interpersonal relationships.

"Natural Sciences" and "More Knowledge" in Ancient China
LUO Gui-huan
2018, 17(4): 10-16. doi:10.13931/j.cnki.bjfuss.2018067
Abstract:
A great deal of historic evidence has suggested that, advocated by Confucius in the Spring and Autumn Period, the scholars in ancient China have been paying attention for natural sciences and getting more knowledge about names of plants and animals. "More knowledge" stressed people should be able to master more knowledge of plants and animals, and its implications have become richer and richer with the development of the time, which greatly promoted the development of nature sciences in ancient China. In fact, the aims of ancient scholars accumulating knowledge of animals and plants were to explore relevant laws of nature, so as to make use of animal and plant resources for better production and life, and enjoy more beauty of nature and psychological pleasure. This tradition has produced profound influence for development of consciousness of rational use of resources and ecological ethics in Chinese civilization.

Relationship between Forests and Droughts in Modern China
LIU Liang
2018, 17(4): 30-34. doi:10.13931/j.cnki.bjfuss.2018034
Abstract:
This paper takes " Ding Wu Famine" and droughts in North China in 1920 and other droughts as examples, and analyzes the relationship between forests and droughts from four aspects as below: 1) decrease of forest coverage giving rise to droughts, 2) damages to the forests caused by droughts, 3)vegetation restoration due to the weakening of human activities after droughts and the great famine, and 4) the prevention of droughts by reforestation. Meanwhile, the paper reviews the research level of drought-forest relationships. Among them, the damages caused by droughts to the forests and vegetation restoration due to the weakening of human activities after droughts and the great famine were largely neglected in previous studies. It is believed that there exist complex interactions between forests and droughts. In the prevention of droughts, modern forestry scientists exaggerated the effect of forests on climate, while non-forest researchers paid more attention to comprehensive measures to cope with droughts, which is still of great significance to today's construction of ecological environment.

Principles and Intertextuality:How to Title Scenic Spots for Chinese Classical Gardens
YAN Jing-juan
2018, 17(4): 39-44. doi:10.13931/j.cnki.bjfuss.2018105
Abstract:
Chinese classical gardens are often depicted as being picturesque on the face and literary in the heart. To title a garden or name the scenery spots of a garden is a poetic character of Chinese gardens. Certain principles exist for such titling or naming: to show how propitious the place or location is; to imply the most wonderful seasons or special moments the spots enjoy; to declare what suitable activities are at certain places; to tell the feelings directly or by using a metaphor. There are stories or ways of thinking about titling the gardens which have become both traditional and stereotypical. Titling gardens and spots is not only like titling an article but also shows the owner's philosophy of living. The meaning of the titles or names is not self-enclosed; instead they extend to infinity through poetry, essays and other types of literary works by later generations.

ZHOU Xian, LIU Xian-bo, LI Shi-ying, DENG Wen-ping
2018, 17(4): 45-50. doi:10.13931/j.cnki.bjfuss.2018087
Abstract:
This paper discusses the significance of landscape art on the premise that the picturesque garden belongs to the artistic category. From the point of view of national culture, the authors point out that Teutonic spirit of freedom and primitive religious belief are the two most important factors that influence the aesthetics of this nation. Because the aesthetic psychology of the nation is empathetic to the nature, the landscape arts of reverence for the nature can represent the tradition of Teutonic national art. The analogy method lists the complementarity of pastoral poetry and landscape painting in the same period, the contrast method compares gardening art between Teutonic and Latin people. Finally, it points out that the traditional landscape art of the Teutonic nation is a highlight of advanced ecology, and summarizes the positive value of landscape art in the contemporary ecological psychology.

XIE Yi
2018, 17(4): 51-55. doi:10.13931/j.cnki.bjfuss.2018165
Abstract:
Collective forest land circulation is an economic activity coming into being in this new round of collective forest tenure reform, and is regarded to be able to optimize the allocation efficiency of collective forestland, and thus draws strong attention from both academic community and administrative sectors. This paper aims at the current situation of collective forestland circulation market, and then discusses countermeasures for development of the market by applying statistical description and case analysis methods based on the statistical data of collective forestland circulation and the data from face-to- face interview on the market participants in Beijing. Research results are as follows. Firstly, the collective forestland circulation market is active, with the most active period appearing from 2008 to 2015, and the area of forestland involved in circulation is large. Secondly, the market players are diversified, while the circulation model is simple, resulting that the government becomes the main transferee of collective forestland in forestry ecological programs. Thirdly, the forestland circulation price system has been formed, the circulation price of forestland increases year by year, and there are various types of ways of payment. Fourthly, the uses of forestland circulated are multiple and the benefits from the forestland are also diversified. The forestland circulated mainly for ecological purpose is primarily targeted to gain ecological benefit, and the benefit from the forestland for commercial use is determined by the type of forestland management, and capacity of managers. In order to promote healthy development of collective forestland circulation market in Beijing, this paper recommends to perfect fundamental institutions for collective forestland circulation, accelerate development of circulation market mechanism, and reinforce supervision on and service to the forestland circulation market.

CHEN Yi-dan, AN Xin
2018, 17(4): 56-62. doi:10.13931/j.cnki.bjfuss.2018123
Abstract:
The development of forest seedlings industry is of far-reaching significance to enhance productivity of forest land and to increase farmers' income. The panel data of 29 provinces, autonomous regions and cities from 2005 to 2015 in China were utilized to establish the indicator system based on Structure-Conduct-Performance to analyze and compare the impact of forest seedlings industry on income of local farmers. The benchmark models were established respectively in eastern, central and western regions after panel unit root inspection, F-test and Hausman test. And expansion models were established by introducing control variables step by step. The results show that regional difference is highlighted in the impact of forest seedlings industry on local farmers' income, in which human capital and input-output scale effect of forest seedlings industry have a significant impact on farmers' income in eastern and central regions. Furthermore, the infrastructure construction and performance level of forest seedlings industry have an obvious effect on farmers' income in the western region. It is also found that industrial supporting policies have a strong effect in these three regions. Eventually, proposals on developing Chinese regional forest seedlings industry are put forward to reinforce the effect on revenue growth of farmers.

LI Na-na, LI Qiang, WANG Xiao-li, LI Fan
2018, 17(4): 84-92. doi:10.13931/j.cnki.bjfuss.2018073
Abstract:
This paper first outlines the basic situation of urban and rural residents' consumption in China, focusing on the consumption level, consumption structure and changing trends of urban and rural residents. Then, by using the AIDS model, it analyzes the consumption structure of urban and rural residents during the period of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan and the Twelfth Five-Year Plan, and calculates their expenditure elasticity and self-price elasticity of the consumption in different periods. The following conclusions are derived: the difference between urban and rural consumption structure is being gradually reduced. The consumption of rural residents has been basically stable, while the development-and enjoyment-oriented consumption of rural residents is insufficient. Furthermore, family equipment and communication facilities will be the key elements to increase the consumption of urban and rural residents. The paper also provides policy recommendations to narrow the gap between urban and rural consumption.
