The Paranoid Feature of Modernity Ecological Civilization's Internal Development Logic in Dialectic of Enlightenment
FENG Li-jie
2014, 13(4): 1-6.
Abstract:
There exist rich ideas of ecological civilization in Dialectic of Enlightenment. It holds that modern ecological crisis results from rational metaphysics, not capitalism value-added logic. The historical evolution from enlightenment rationality to instrumental rationality is the witness of the ecological civilization's internal development logic. In contrast to Marx's critique of capitalist modernity, critical theory of instrumental rationality isn't based on the actual material production practice. Therefore it doesn't show us an effective approach to natural liberation and human freedom. Nevertheless, many correct and penetrating views about eco-development in Dialectic of Enlightenment have important inspirations for the construction of ecological civilization in China.

Abstract:
The phrasethe Hall of Hu Yeis mentioned in The Crafts of Gardens, and is the location where the Crafts of Garden Preface was written, which bears great significance to research on JI Cheng and his book, The Crafts of Garden. Three opinions in theoretical cycle are taking shape recently on the location of the Hall of Hu Ye, namely the residence of WANG Shi-heng, of RUAN Da-cheng or of JI Cheng. However, all the opinions are inferred since the Hall of Hu Ye is not mentioned in any other historic literatures. At present, the opinion that it belongs to WANG Shi-heng is widely accepted, while the opinions that it belongs to WANG or RUAN are doubted based on the comparison of three opinions, the analysis of The Crafts of Gardens and other relevant literatures. Finally, after logical induction, it is concluded that the location of the Hall of Hu Ye might be the residence of JI Cheng, which could offer an reference to the readers.

Export Enterprises to EU Timber Regulation
XU Bin, LI Yan, LI Jing
2014, 13(4): 55-60.
Abstract:
To inhibit the illegal logging around the world, the trade acts to prohibit the production and trade of illegally logged timbers and products have been issued by American, EU and Australian government. As Europe and America are the key markets for the exported forestry products from China, it's a great challenge for Chinese companies to react to these international requirements of legal timber product trade. Based on literature review and qualitative analysis, the options for Chinese companies were sorted, and their advantages, disadvatatages and scopes are analysed. It is found that establishing the management of enterprise internal supply chain and due diligence system is the basis, and conducting third-party forest certification or legality verification is the most feasible way to meet the market requirements of international timber laws under current situations. Therefore it's suggested that the enterprises should strengthen the management of supply chain and capacity building with supports from relevant research institutes and organizations, and government should strengthen the administration on wood source, harvesting, transportation and processing, as well as establish the wood legality verification system and expand the international cooperations in the area.

XIE Zhe-gen, HE Bi-ting, TONG Hong-wei, HAN Guo-kang, LIU Mei-juan
2014, 13(4): 61-66.
Abstract:
Taking forest resources assets based on the stand level as research object, this paper makes an in-depth analysis of the impact factors of the forest price and the composition of forest resources assets value. By applying the labor value theory and commodity pricing principle, it points out that the factors of the standing trees value can be divided into general factors and special ones. Through the dynamic changes of the forest land types during the reproduction process of forest resources, and the analysis of the characteristics of the standing trees resources assets, as well as the non-forest land resources assets, this paper puts forward the idea that the forest resources assets during operation period are composed of three parts, i. e. , the current standing trees resources assets, the non-forest land assets of current stand in sustaining state after now, and the nonforest land assets that are waiting for updating after current stand trees become mature and are cut. These conclusions could provide references for deepening the reform of forest tenure system.

XU Jun, WANG Yan-bin, CHENG Bao-dong
2014, 13(4): 73-77.
Abstract:
Competitiveness of an industry is reflected ultimately by the market control abilities of products, enterprises and industry. Michael Porter pointed out five factors impacting industrial competitiveness in the diamond model, namely barriers to entry, threat of substitutes, buyers and sellers' bargaining power and existing competitors. Paper industry is an important part of national economy and an important component of forestry industry. Based on the analysis of current status of China's paper industry, this paper calculates international competitiveness of China 's paper industry through international market share, comparative advantage index and trade competiveness index. Using Five- Force model, this paper analyzes international competition environment of China's paper industry. The results show that China is undergoing a transition to having a comparative advantage, but it is still in a relatively disadvantaged position in international competition, whith is reflected in low barriers to entry, the poor bargaining power of suppliers and buyers, fierce industry competition and the appearance of the threat of substitutes. This paper also puts forward proposals based on the research results.

Abstract:
Collective forest tenure reform is conducive to increase farmers' income and raise their great enthusiasm for protecting and managing forest. Supporting measures have played the important role in forest tenure reform. Taking Taining County and Jiangle County in Sanming city, Fujian Province as the research object, we select infrastructure and forestry promotion as the main survey contents. The former one includes environmental sanitation and road construction, while scientific and technical knowledge, market information, pest and disease control, anti-theft logging and forest fire are investigated to make analysis of the effects of forestry promotion. Firstly by descriptive analysis on the survey results, we have a general understanding of farmers' satisfaction at supporting measures. Then we have quantitative evaluation of the overall satisfaction at the supporting measures of collective forest tenure reform by AHP and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. The results show that more than half of the farmers are quite satisfied with the supporting measures of collective forest tenure reform, which interprets that farmers are quite satisfied with the supporting measures in our country. However there are still large flaws in the infrastructure building and technology services, and the advices are given for them.
